The book I started with divides the continent into areas
and lists a good number of fishing lodges in America. Many of these places are
probably listed online. To get a complete one page description of each with
contact info, prices, guide availability and more, the book is the best resource
still in my opinion. The book also has packing guidelines, fishing guide
tipping guidelines, and fishing resort trip planning ideas. The fishing resorts
listed do not just cater to fisher people necessarily, but they do have fishing
amenities, they do gear their marketing towards fishing and they do have great
fishing areas nearby. Wouldn’t it be great to do a national tour of all of
these American Fishing Lodges on this list?
You can get an idea of how great each state is for fishing
by looking at the number of fishing resorts listed under each state. Montana
wins the prize for most fishing lodges! Of course, the magazine is based in CA
so that may have skewed the results.
